A1 – A2 Visa

To be eligible for an A1 or A2 visa  on behalf of your own government  you must be going on official duty.  If an organization is partially state-owned or under state control, the task is eligible for a type A visa  is not a factor in itself; At the same time, the task you will perform must be formal in nature.  Type A visa applicants traveling to the USA for less than 90 days will have the phrase TDY (Temporary Duty), which means “Temporary Duty”, written on their visas.

If you are an elected local government representative, the type A visa is not suitable for you.  You must apply for a B1/B2 visa, make an appointment, and complete the visa application interview procedure at our Embassy.
